Orlando Vascular Surgery is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or voice control.

Conformance status

This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. Accessibility is built directly into our code. We do not use accessibility overlay widgets, plug-in toolbars, or visual-only scripts, because those tools do not deliver genuine conformance.

Accessibility features

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) on every page.
  • A “Skip to main content” link as the first item reachable by keyboard.
  • Full keyboard operation of menus, accordions, forms and buttons, with the Escape key closing open menus and returning focus to the control that opened them.
  • Visible focus outlines on every interactive element.
  • Form labels tied to their fields, plain-text error messages announced to screen readers, and errors marked by text and icon rather than color alone.
  • Text and interface contrast that meets or exceeds 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and controls.
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.
  • Layouts that stay usable at 200% text size and 400% browser zoom without side-to-side scrolling.
  • Descriptive alternative text on informative images and empty alternative text on decorative artwork.
  • Descriptive titles on embedded maps and other third-party content.

Known limitations

Some content is delivered by third parties, such as the embedded Google map on our Location page. We label these embeds clearly and provide the same information in plain text — our address, phone number and directions link — so no one depends on the map alone.
